James McPherson’s Book on the Civl War

Abstract

This paper reviews some of the Civil War issues covered in McPherson’s book about the pre-Civil War, Civil War, and post-Civil War periods. Where needed, the paper provides other proposal argument essay supporting materials to further explain these issues and summarizes McPherson’s four major points which he suggests defined the end result of the Civil War.
